Indian duo falter at Golf World Cup

By Staff

Dongguan, China, Nov 29 (UNI) India's Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa carded a two-under 70 in the four-ball format to be tied 20th after the penultimate round of the Omega Mission Hills Golf World Cup here today.

The Indian duo, who slipped nine rungs from their yesterday's position, now have a three-round total of seven-under 209.

They were off to a flying start with a birdie-brace on the third and fourth holes to register a flawless front nine.

However, they could not maintain the momentum. The pair hit a bogey-birdie note on the 11th and 12th. They picked another couple of birdies but dropped an equal number of bogeys in the remaining holes to complete a topsy-turvy round.

Spain (67) and Australia (63) shared the top spot in the standings with totals of 22-under 194. Sweden (66) was third, four strokes adrift.
