Patiala, Nov 3 (UNI) On the penultimate day of the, four-day North Zone India State Cricket Tournament (Under-22) for C K Nayadu Trophy, Himachal Pradesh played well to score 324 for 7 in the first innings against Punjab's mammoth total of 664 here today at the Dhruve Pandove Stadium.
Munish Thakur scored a scintillating ton (104), hitting 17 fours, though the effort was not enough to take Himachal Pradesh close to Punjab's total.
Rishi Dhawan (74 with 13 fours), Jarnail Singh (35), Varun Sharma (30) and Ravikant (38 not our) were the other main run getters.
Rajwinder Singh bowled a tight length to bag four for 84 and Gautam Gambhir took two for 95.
