New Delhi, Sep 14: India's wonder girl Saina Nehwal did the country proud by winning the Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold Championship in a closely fought battle on Sunday.
Saina thrashed Malaysia's Li Ya Lydia Cheah ,21-8, 21-19, in the women"s singles finals of the Yonex Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold tournament on Sunday, September 14. In the semi-final, Saina defeated Pia Zehadiah Bernadet of Indonesia in a one-sided match on Saturday. Throughout the match, Saina, who reached Olympic quarter-finals couple of weeks back in Beijing, attacked relentlessly and gave her opposition no chance to fight back in both the sets.
