Bangalore, Sep 8 (UNI) National Champion Chetan Anand bowed out of the finals of the Yonex Belgian International losing the final to the top-seed Japanese Kenichi Tago, in a close encounter.
The Japanese prevailed 21-16, 15-21, 21-19, according to a release from the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy here today.
Earlier in the semifinals, Chetan defeated his team mate Anand Pawar in an exciting three-setter after Pawar served one match point in the decider. Chetan won 21-16, 16-21 and 22-20.
Indian ace-shuttler Arvind Bhat lost to Dieter Domke of Germany 20-22,21-18,21-12 in the quarterfinals.
