Johal at 24th after four races

By Staff

Beijing, Aug 10 (UNI) The lone Indian sailor Nachhatar Singh Johal failed to repeat his first race performance as he could accumulate only 23 and 24 points in the third and fourth races, respectively, in the Finn class at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Centre of the Olympic Games here today.

Johal, the highest ranked Asian, was languishing close to the bottom of the table at the 24th place and had secured fourth and 24th position respectively in his first two races yesterday.

Meanwhile, Zach Riley of America after finishing at second, fifth, second and second place in the four races was leading the chart with 11 points.

With two wins from four races, Ben Ainslie of Great Britain is at the second spot which is largely due to his 10th place finish in the first race.
