{image-world record_26052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Kathmandu, May 26: Nepali bowler Mehabob Alam created history by taking 10 wickets in a one day international (ODI) match against Mozambique at the International Cricket Council's (ICC) world Cricket league in Jersy.
The left-arm seamer's 10-wicket haul is the first in any level of the international cricket recognised by the ICC. India's Anil Kumble and England's Jim Laker holds the record in Test cricket. Alam cleaned bowled five Mozambique batsmen yesterday, trapped four batsmen leg before the wicket and had a batsman caught behind by wicketkeeper. Mozambique were all out for a mere 19 runs in reply to Nepal's 238 runs in the ICC world cricket League Division V in Jersy.
Alam also held the national record of best bowling figures with eight wickets in a match against Maldives.
