Kozhikode, Mar 5 (UNI) Former footballer George Thomas, who played for many soccer clubs in undivided India died of old age at a charity home here today.
He was 88.
Thomas, who started his career with the Universal Club here in the 1930s, later played for various clubs in Bombay, Gujarat, Punjab, Lahore and Frontier Province Police.
A bachelor, Thomas was staying at the government-run Poor Home Society here after returning from Pakistan after the partition.
