Mumbai, Dec 11: After its outstanding success last year, the World Gamemaster Tournament is here once again to challenge the skill and wits of PC Gamers.
ASUS, the leading technology manufacturer has brought this competition to India. This time around, major gaming hardware and chipset vendors like Kingston, Razer and AGEIA have come together along with ASUS to provide the best solutions for gamers to compete, a release issued here today said.
The World Gamemaster tournament, popularly known by its acronym WGT, is a PC gaming initiative supported primarily by ASUS.
The WGT was initiated last year and very well accepted by gamers.
Both professional and hobby gamers turned out in huge numbers all over the country to participate in the tournament.
WGT preliminaries were held in Chandigarh, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore. The Mumbai preliminaries will be held on December 13 and 14.
Five qualifying teams from each city will compete against each other at the National grand finale to be held in the city at the Earth Castle mall on December 15. The grand finale winners will walk away with some of the best gaming graphic cards from ASUS.
Apart from competitions to be held, the latest innovations and technologies in gaming hardware will be showcased at the event. The gamers are quite enthusiastic about the event. For the first time in India, such high-end games have been used in a national level gaming tournament.
WGT is also conducted in many countries across the world such as Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, China and many more.
