WhatsApp to release View Once Text feature for Android users

The company is working on a View Once text feature, as per the WaBetaInfo.

Users will witness a lock symbol in chat, just on the Send button which will allow you to send View Once messages.

That special button in the chat will let you send messages that disappear from your chat after the recipient has opened them once.

The app will also let the sender see if a recipient has opened a View Once text if they have read receipts turned on.

The feature might be visible for some of the users who are using the Android beta version.

While WhatsApp already offers the option to delete messages, the platform is giving more options to offer better privacy.
