What is the right time to wake up in the morning
Our elders always woke up with the sunrise and sometimes before that. They believed it gave them more time during the day to complete activities
In ancient times according to Hindu sacred texts, it was said that one should wake up in the Brahma muhurta which is an auspicious period which begins 1.36 hours before sunrise and ends 48 minutes before it
According to ayurvedic practitioner Dr Dixa Bhavsar waking up at this time will help attain wisdom, improve memory and concentration for students
It also improves mental health as the environment is calm and serene. It also helps improve working efficiency
It is also the best time to read spiritual books, do some movement exercises and it is also the best time to meditate
The sunrise varies according to seasons and you should wake up according to their basic Prakriti or mind and body constitution
For Vatas it is 30 minutes before sunrise, for Pittas it is 45 and for Kaphas it is 90 minutes before sunrise
In case you happen to sleep late then for Vatas wake up by 7 am, for Pittas before 6.30 am and for Kaphas before 6 pm
In case you do not know your Prakriti then Dr. Bhavsar says wake up before 6.30 and 7 am
