Step-by-step guide to retrieve lost Aadhaar

UIDAI has launched a digital service for all the Aadhaar cardholders so that they can retrieve it online without any hassles.

You can retrieve your UID number and Aadhaar card online through your registered mobile number.

Go to the official website of the UIDAI at uidai.gov.in

Select ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’ under the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab.

Choose if you want to retrieve either EID or Aadhaar number.

Provide your Full Name, Mobile No./Email Address, and Captcha Verification.

Click on ‘Send OTP’ to receive an OTP to your registered mobile number.

Enter the OTP.

Post verification, the Aadhaar Number/Enrolment ID will be sent to your registered mobile number/email ID.
