Try this spicy pepper rasam recipe to keep yourself warm this winter
You will need toor dal, jeera, red chilli, pepper, salt, curry leaves, mustard seeds, vegetable oil
Soak tamarind in hot water and leave for 20 minutes. Extract 2 cups of tamarind water
To make the ground pepper powder take 3 tbsp toor dal, 1.5 tsp pepper, 1.5 tsp cumin seeds and 1-2 red chillies
Roast toor dal, pepper, cumin seeds and red chilli in two tsp of oil. Grind it to powder once it cools down
Boil the extracted tamarind water by adding salt and add 2-3 tsp ground pepper powder
Let it boil for around 7 minutes till the raw smell of tamarind goes away. Add a cup of water, let it froth up and then turn off the flame
