PAN-Aadhaar linking last date today: How to check link, status

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has declared the penalties that you may have to pay if you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar card.
This is how you need to make the penalty payment
The Centre already extended the deadline till March 31 earlier, after which, the CBDT had notified that those who link PAN and Aadhaar after March 31 and by June 30, 2022, will have to pay a penalty fee of ₹500.
So, the last date for linking the Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar is June 30 - today.
Failure to do so will result in a double penalty of ₹1,000 from July 1 onwards.
  • Follow the steps given below to check if your mandatory PAN-Aadhaar linking is complete:
  • Log on to the official website: incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/aadhaarstatus
  • Enter your PAN and Aadhaar details
  • Click on the 'View Link Aadhaar Status' option
  • Check status of the linking will be displayed in the next screen
