How to use e-Rupee at Reliance Retail stores

Reliance Retail announced on Thursday that it has started to accept the RBI-issued Digital Rupee

Reliance is the first retail chain to make this announcement

This service would begin first at Reliance Retail’s Freshpick stores

The move according to Reliance Retail was made for customers to enjoy a seamless payment experience

Innoviti Technologies built the system to integrate this payment method into the billing system

Reliance has collaborated with the ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank to launch this service

These banks were selected by the RBI for its pilot project

To pay customers need to scan the QR code on the terminal of the Digital Rupee app of ICICI Bank or Kotak Mahindra Bank

You will then have to enter a password to authorise the payment

Once complete, you will get a notification about the same
