Tamil Nadu: Around 99.4 % of the population of Tamil Nadu eats eggs or meat.
North-East India: In North-East India Nagaland (99.8 %), Manipur (99.7%), Tripura: (99.6 % ) Meghalaya, Assam ( 99.5%), 99% of the population relishes non-veg.
West Bengal: 99.2 % of West Bengal is non-vegetarian.
Goa: In Goa, the number of people consuming meat stands at 96 %
Andhra Pradesh: In Andhra, 96.1% of the population cherishes non-veg.
Telangana: Telangana known for non-veg dishes Talakaya kura, paaya, dum biryani, accounts for 95.6 % non-veg population in the state.
Maharashtra: Only 77.4 % of Maharashtra's population eats meat.
Karnataka: At 81.2% , Karnataka has the lowest number of non-vegetarians in South India.
