Kedarnath Temple opens for pilgrims

The doors of Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand was opened for pilgrims with rituals and vedic chanting on Friday (May 6, 2022).
Kedarnath Dham is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and has a huge significance in Hindu culture.
The interesting thing is that it is open for 6 months a year only.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present at the temple to witness the auspicious occassion.
The daily limit on the number of pilgrims for Kedarnath Temple is at 12,000 and while for Badrinath it is 15,000.
