Kamal Haasan started acting at the age of four.

The original name of Kamal Haasan is Parthasarathy Srinivasan.

In his long illustrious career, he won 19 FilmFare awards. In 2000, he wrote to Filmfare not to nominate him for any award to encourage young talent.

He was the highest paid actor between 1988 and 1988. Kamal was the first Indian actor to get Rs 1 crore remuneration.

In 2016, Kamal Haasan was awarded the Chevalier de L'Ordre Arts et Lettres (The Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by the French government.

Kamal Haasan can speak many languages like Tamil, English, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada and French.
