The Indian agencies have prepared several lists mentioning the top ten most wanted criminals. The list includes members of the underworld and terrorists. Here is the top ten
Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar is the most wanted criminal for his involvement in the 1993 Bombay serial blasts. He is also accused of smuggling, murders and being close to the Al-Qaeda
The second on the list is Syed Salahuddin, the chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen which is a Kashmir based terror group
Sajid Mir one of the main planners of the Mumbai 26/11 attacks is third on the list. He was on June 24 jailed for 15 years in Pakistan
Masood Azhar the chief of the Jaish-e-Mohammad is fourth on the list. He is the mastermind of several attacks including the lone on Parliament and the Pulwama suicide bombing
Ilyas Kashmir who commanded the 313 Brigade of the Al-Qaeda is responsible for the Pune Bakery attack. He is number 5 on the list
Chhota Shakeel who is Dawood Ibrahim’s right hand man is sixth on the list. He was involved in the 1993 blasts and attack on Chhota Rajan in Bangkok
Major Iqbal who is at number 7 is a conspirator in the 26/11 attack. He is a major in the Pakistan Army who handled David Headley along with Sajid Mir
Number 8 on the list is Hafiz Saeed. The chief of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba he is the mastermind of the 26/11 attack
Anees Ibrahim is the brother of Dawood Ibrahim. He is an accused in the 1993 blasts. He is also wanted for cases relating to fake currency and extortions
Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi at number ten is the operational commander of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. He was involved in the Mumbai 26/11 attack
Interesting fact: While those were the top ten most wanted criminals by India, they all are in Pakistan living comfortably under the protection of the ISI
