How to add your own music to Snapchat

Want to add your own music to your Snapchat photo or video snaps?

Well, you can record your own music and automatically add it to your Snap.

Find the song you want to feature in your snap from your playlists or saved albums.

Navigate to Snapchat's music and sound options.

To upload your own sound to Snapchat, open the “My Sounds” tab.

From "My Sounds" you'll have the option to "Create Sound."

You can upload a sound from your Camera Roll, or even record a new sound in the moment.

To use the saved sound, tap the musical notes from the camera screen, then select the My Sounds tab

Once you’ve uploaded a file, you have to name it before you can save it to your Snapchat account.

You also have the option to trim the audio before you save it, if it's too long or if you only want to use part of it.

Finally, take a photo or video. The new sound you just created will play during the Snap!
