A Ganesh Chaturthi is incomplete without an offering of modak to Lord Ganesha

Making modaks at home is easy and here is how you can do it

You will need 1 cup mawa, 1/4 cup sugar, a pinch of cardamom powder and 6 cashews

Add the mawa to a pan and heat it up and let it melt

Add sugar once the mawa starts to melt

Once the mixture melts add cardamom powder and then let it cool down completely

Now add the mixture to a mould to shape it like a modak

Stuff the chopped cashew in the mixture and close the mould and press
