Brahmastra Movie Review: Does it have the 'superpowers' to be a hit?

The story of 'Brahmastra' revolves around a man with special powers who discovers the secret behind his own existence. How string of incidents changes his life forms crux of the story.
The story is fresh and screenplay is effective in parts. The first half is terrific. The initial part of the second half is engaging, but later on the story goes for a toss.
The way Indian mythology and folk tales have been blended gets thumbs up, but the story becomes too complicated for normal audience.
The climax fight is quite boring. Ranbir Kapoor comes up with a brilliant performance and Alia is equally good.
Amitabh Bachchan, as always, has given life to his character. Nagarjuna is good in limited role, while Mouni Roy is okay in her performance. Watch out for Shah Rukh Khan's cameo.
Overall, 'Brahmastra' is an average entertainer and one-time watch. It boasts of good performance backed by quality visuals.
