Bake this rich date and walnut cake in the weekend and enjoy it during the week.
It is an easy recipe and even a beginner can whip it.
Deseed and blend dates in a mixer. Pour the paste in a large mixing bowl.
Add in ¾ cup olive oil and ¼ cup curd. Blend well until the mixture is well combined.
Sieve together 2 cup wheat flour, 1 tsp baking powder and ½ tsp baking soda. Mix well until the mixture is combined.
Now add ½ cup chopped walnuts and 5 chopped dates. Mix using the cut and fold method.
Transfer the batter to a greased cake tray or bread mould.
Top with more walnuts for the visual appeal.
Place it in a preheated oven and bake at 180 degree celsius or 356 degrees fahrenheit for 45 minutes.
Check with skewer if done. Finally, serve the dates cake!
