All you should know about Meta Verified

After  Twitter launched its paid verification service, Twitter Blue, Facebook  and Instagram’s parent company Meta announced a similar feature

Meta Verified is a subscription bundle on Instagram and Facebook

It  includes a verification badge that authenticates your account with  government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support  and increased reach

According to Meta, this will help up and coming creators grow their presence and build community faster

Subscribers  will get a Meta verified badge, confirming they are the real person and  their account is authenticated with a government ID

Subscribers will get more protection from impersonation with proactive account

Meta  Verified accounts will get more visibility and reach with prominence in  some areas of the platform. This could be searches, comments and  recommendations

Only those are who 18 years or older and have prior activity on the account are eligible

Businesses are not eligible for this service

It would cost $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on iOS and Android. It will first be available in New Zealand and Australia

If the user decided to change any information, the verification process will have to be initiated again
