All about the five new judges of the Supreme Court

On Monday, CJI D Y Chandrachud administered oath of office to five new judges of the Supreme Court

With this there are 32 judges in the Supreme Court as opposed to the full strength of 34

The five new judges are Justices Pankaj, Sanjeev Karol, P V Sanjay Kumar, Manoj Mishra and Ahsanuddin Amanullah

Justice Pankaj Mittal, born in 1961 served as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan HC before his elevation

Justice Sanjay Karol served as the Chief Justice of the Pathna HC before his elevation

Justice P V Sanjay Kumar was the CJ of Manipur and also served as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana HC
