Wimbledon 2017: Roger Federer defeats Marin Cilic to win eighth title
Roger Federer won Wimbledon title 2017 by beating Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in 1 hour and 41 minutes. Its Federer's eighth Wimbledon title. With the win, he has also extended his total Grand Slams won tally to 19. At 35 years 342 days, Federer became the oldest man in the Open Era to win the Wimbledon title – edging his own record when he had won the Australian Open earlier in the year. The win will push Federer from the current World No 5 to World No 3 in the world when the rankings are officially updated soon.
