With this century, Virat has surpassed Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar's record in test cricket. Let me tell you Sunil Gavaskar took 27 matches to reach 9 centuries and Sachin scored just 7 hundred in 27 matches while Virat Kohli made 10 centuries in the same no of matches. Ajinkya Rahane remained unbeaten on 23 with Kohli as India decided to declare with the score on 240 for 3, lead by 549 runs. Sri Lanka will have to bat out of their skin to save this Test match, let alone win it. India, on the other hand, would look to go 1-0 up in the series.
