Shashank Manohar steps down from ICC chairman post

Shashank Manohar has stepped down from post of ICC chairman. Former BCCI president Shashank Manohar has resigned from his post after only eight months in office. Manohar was elected unopposed as the ICC's first independent chairman in May 2016 for a two-year term. Since then had led the effort to decentralise the power held by the BCCI, CA and ECB. In the election process, Manohar was the only nominee for this position and the ICC board unanimously supported his appointment and made him a successful candidate.
