PM Modi inaugurates PIO Parliamentary Conference in New Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Parliamentary Conference in the 'Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra' at Chanakyapuri in national capital on Tuesday. As many as 124 Members of Parliament and 17 mayors from 23 countries are participating in the conference. Addressing a gathering at first PIO conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed about the change in perception of government in past 3-4 years. He also talked about many reforms which have taken place during his governance. PM Modi stated that the government is increasing the investment in technology and transportation keeping in mind the needs of 21st century. He further added that more than half the investment in sectors like construction, air transport, mining, computer software, hardware, electrical equipment and many others has happened in the last three years.
