Karnataka has again suspended incoming transport from neighbouring states to contain the spiralling coronavirus infection in the state. This time the list has five states. No flights, trains or other vehicles will allowed to come to the state from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari today announced a series of austerity measures to reduce the expenses of Raj Bhavan so as to make more resources available for COVID-19 relief measures. The Delhi government on Thursday warned of a possible locust attack and asked authorities to spray insecticides and pesticides on crops, vegetation, gardens and orchards while several states in western and central India struggle to contain the worst attack in nearly three decades.
