Sales of chicken meat has significantly dipped in Bengaluru after reports of Bird Flu in Karnataka’s capital. Bird Flu scare has left chicken stalls empty and very few buyers are turning up to buy chicken meat, said a seller. Sellers claim that there is 30-40% dip in sales. Few buyers claimed that Bird Flu is just a hoax and they continue eating chicken after the reports. On December 29, eight birds died in a chicken shop in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar creating panic among the chicken lovers in the city. BBMC Mayor Sampath Raj assured the residents that necessary precautions have been taken to address the situation.
