ISRO to launch heaviest satellite in June
After setting many examples of flawless rocket launching in the past. Now Indian space agency ISRO is all set to launch GSLV Mark- III in the month of June. This rocket has been developed by ISRO scientist. The GSLV MK -III which weighs around 640 ton includes main and bigger cryogenic engine. The GSAT-19 satellite weighed around 3.2 tons and said to be the heaviest satellite to lift by an Indian rocket. It is already at the rocket landing site at the Sriharikota. The director K.Sivan said that currently the rocket is designed to carry max 4 tons. However, in the coming future, the payload carrying capacity will be added gradually. As per the ISRO officials, GSAT-19 is a multi-beam satellite with 15 years lifespan. It will carry Ka and Ku band forward and return link transponders. The rocket will face various kind of pressures in the course of atmospheric flight phase. The director K. Sivan said that it’s our 12 years hard work which will bear fruit this June. He added that the preparation for this rocket launch in on full swing at Sriharikota. It will carry GSAT-19 communication satellite.
