The situation was so bad that the flight had to be diverted to Chennai. The Qatar Airways' Doha-Bali nonstop flight on November 5 had to be diverted to Chennai after an Iranian woman found out that her husband was cheating on her. She unlocked her husband's phone by using the fingerprint scanner while he was sleeping. On the phone she discovered some content that indicated that he was allegedly cheating on her. She kicked up a ruckus and those tried to stop her also came under her line of fire. The uproar was so bad that the pilot was forced to land the plane mid-way at Chennai. At Chennai, the couple and their child were offloaded, following the flight resumed its journey. Authorities in Chennai kept the family at the airport. "They were taken to a room maintained by immigration authorities at Chennai airport. Later they were put on a flight to Kuala Lumpur.
