All 8 franchises have finished shopping for the 11th season of the home-grown Twenty20 league which is touted as the most expensive Twenty20 league on the planet. All the eight teams have finalised the squads. England all-rounder Ben Stokes emerged as the most expensive player in the auction, getting Rs 12.5 crore from Rajasthan Royals. While left-arm pacer from Saurashtra, Jaidev Unadkat emerged as the most expensive Indian player when Rajasthan Royals snatched him for a whopping amount of Rs 11.5 crore. Amongst uncapped players, Mumbai Indians' all-rounder Krunal Pandya garnered the highest bid when he was retained by the defending champions for Rs 8.8 core. The mega two-day Indian Premier 2018 auction is over. Across Saturday and Sunday, the eight franchisees assembled under one roof to rebuild their squad for the upcoming season of the cash-rich IPL.
