IPL 2018 retention : Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma went for top bids
The player retention ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction later this month will take place on Thursday. As expected MS Dhoni was retained by CSK for an amount of 15 crore rupees and the same amount Mumbai Indians paid to retain Rohit Sharma but Virat Kohli has become the most expensive player in the history of IPL as RCB retained their skipper for 17 crore rupees. The teams also retained other players but these were the 3 players everyone was keeping their eye on as to how much money their teams were willing to spent to retain them.
