IPL 2017 cancellation will make BCCI bankrupt
The BCCI award function was boycotted by the state associations and this has indicated at the deepening tussle between the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators and the state associations. And if this battle continues like this and the state associations decides to not stage IPL games in 2017, the BCCI wll go bankrupt. Yes if the IPL 2017 is called off then the BCCI will incur the loss of 2500 crores. A BCCI official SAID, “If they even think of touching the IPL, it'll be a disaster. Consider that even for the sake of an argument, if the 2017 IPL is not held, BCCI will incur losses in excess of Rs 2500 crore. It'll be bankrupt. The associations used to get the advance from the BCCI and the rest of the payment flows in through the course of the tournament and later. But things changed since Lodha Committee came into play.
