Environment court NGT today slammed the authorities for holding India-Sri Lanka cricket match at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi despite hazardous air quality. The play on the second day of the 3rd and the final test match stopped several times after the Sri Lankan players complained of uneasiness in the post lunch session of the game. Raising concern over the issue even the Sri Lankan cricket board has sought a reply from the BCCI, as to why Delhi was chosen as a venue to conduct the test match as the pollution is on the rise in the national capital of India. Lankan players wore anti-pollution mask in the post lunch session as the air quality dropped in the areas near the stadium. The Air quality was around 200 near the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium which is considered poor.
