Pakistan have jumped jumped two places to sixth after they beat India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan leapfrogged Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to move closer to direct qualification for the 2019 World Cup, for which host England and the next seven highest-ranked sides as on 30 September will get straight entries. South Africa have managed to retain their top spot, though it is just two rating points that separate them from the second-placed Australia. India, the runners-up of the tournament, are one rating point behind Australia. Bangladesh ended the tournament on the seventh spot they started it on.
