Karnataka Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy claims that killers of journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh have already been identified and their arrest is imminent. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Reddy said that the SIT was in the know of who killed Gauri but were in the process of collecting evidence to build a watertight case. Gauri Lankesh was murdered in September earlier this year. Unidentified miscreants opened fire at her outside her residence killing her instantly. The murder had led to much outrage across the country with many accusing right-wing hardliners of Gauri's murder. The SIT has released sketches of two suspects along with CCTV footages of suspects doing the rounds of Gauri's residence on the day of the murder. Ramalinga Reddy has assured that arrests will be made soon in the case and it will not go the way the case of Dr M M Kalburgi has gone.
