BCCI denies compensation to PCB, asks to forget India vs Pakistan series
BCCI denies compensation to PCB, asks to forget India vs Pakistan series. BCCI says that it doesn't owes PCB anything for not playing bilateral series against Pakistan, as per the ICC schedule. The PCB has demanded $60 million in compensation. PCB chairman Shahryar Khan said, that they have received a response from BCCI explaining why bilateral series is not possible now. “The MoU signed between the two boards is not a legal obligation. It doesn’t factor in the political situation. We can’t play Pakistan right now because of restrictions at the government level. For us or any country, the government’s decision on such matters is obviously more compelling than any MoU". “Since there is no question of compensation, we expect PCB to approach the ICC’s dispute addressal committee.
