Rickshawpuller offered professor post at BHU

Benaras, Feb 28: A rickshawpuller in Varanasi has been offered a job by the prestigious

Hindu University. And guess what - He has been offered the post of a professor !

The rickshawpuller, Gangaram, who lives in Ramjanki Nagar of Gorakhpur, is a successful innovator. He has made a tractor which runs without fuel and also, has claimed that he is making a cycle that can move in water.

Reportedly, scientists from Rourkela have said that they will visit Gangaram to see the innovations for themselves.

Meanwhile, BHU authority has assured Gangaram that the work on various projects inspired from Gangaram's innovations will start soon. He was honoured with 'grass root innovator' title at the '51st metallurgic day' in BHU last year.

Scientists from Science Insitute of Bangalore who were present at the event asked Gangaram to make more such products for them for a 50 per cent royalty.

Gangaram, who comes from an economically weak background, says he can make many more innovations if he has the money and resources.

gangaram will start his work at the university from June this year. He will head a project and after it is completed, he will join as a professor at the university.
