Kerala shocker: Sub-Inspector unzips fly in front of a journalist
Thiruvananthapuram, July 24: The attitude of the police towards the journalists is a debatable one, now in Punaloor in Kerala, the obscene gesture of a Sub-Inspector is making headlines.
The inspector unzipped his fly in front of a journalist.
Mohammed Rafi, a reporter with a local cable channel alleged that he was harassed for reporting in which sub-inspectors Shivaprasad and Vimod attacked a person, who was involved in an accident.
According to media reports, on July 10, Rafi captured visuals of the inspectors beating up a man after a road accident. Police inspectors asked Rafi to leave the footage with them.
Rafi alleged that he was abused and harassed by the inspectors. It was during the same time that the Sub-Inspector showed the obscene gesture. It was captured on camera.
The news was first taken up by local cable channels, later on, other media houses highlighted the bizarre incident.
According to a report published in Mathrubhumi, a case was filed by the police against Mohammed Rafi when he refused to handover the footage.
