Gehlot assured her that the petition would be handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for necessary action, they said. Bindu in her petition said her daughter was missing for the past one month and sought a probe.

She had earlier stated that Nimisha came to see her along with her husband on May 16 and on May 18, she received a call from her daughter that she was going to Sri Lanka for some business.

After that there was no information about her daughter, she had said. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had yesterday informed the state assembly that his government viewed the matter of missing Keralites very seriously and would take necessary steps with the support of the central agencies.
