J&K: Army jawan abducted by terrorists in Pulwama
An Army jawan was abducted by terrorists from Pulwama district on Thursday. The soldier identified as Aurangzeb is a resident of Rajouri district in Kashmir. He was on his way in a private vehicle when the abduction took place.
Police sources say that the Army men from the 44 Rashtriya Rifles had stopped a private vehicle at around 9 am this morning. They asked the driver to drop their man at Shopian.
The terrorists however stopped the private vehicle as it reached the Kalampora area and kidnapped the soldier.
Intelligence Bureau officials suspect that this could be the handiwork of the Hizbul Mujahideen. No ransom demand has been made as yet and a manhunt has been launched.
Aurangzeb, a resident of Poonch is presently posted at Shadimarg army camp was on way to his home town when the incident occurred.
