Leganes registered the biggest win of the game week so far as they thrashed Deportivo La Coruna 4-0 at home.

This season's biggest surprise package, Alaves registered yet another win over giants Valencia.

FC Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 thanks to a late goal from their superstar Lionel Messi. Rafinha had put Barcelona forward but Diego Godin equalised for Atletico.

Lionel Messi netted the winning goal in the 86th minute to keep Barcelona's hopes alive in the title race.

In another match, Real Madrid came back from a 0-2 deficit to beat Villarreal 3-2 and maintain their 4 points lead over FC Barcelona.
