New Delhi, Mar 28: A day after he single-handedly led his side into ICC World T20 semi-final with his gritty innings against Australia at Mohali, Team India's star batsman Virat Kohli on Monday condemned those who were mocking his ex-girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma over social media.

Earlier, last week some over enthusiastic fans 'thanked' the actress for parting ways with the India cricketer.
In a tweet from his personal account the Delhi-lad said, "Shame on people for trolling Anushka Sharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity".

In an Instagram message Virat said, "Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport."
The aggressive India batter, who is in sublime form in the ongoing World T20, urged fans to show compassion and respect towards Anushka, and suggested them to think of how their sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public.
