Greater Noida, Sep 7: India Green's left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha was today (September 7) taken to a hospital for tests after suffering a "freak head injury" during their day-night Duleep Trophy match against India Blue here.
Ojha, who was fielding at mid-on, was hit on the back of the head by a pink ball after misjudging a shot from number 11 batsman Pankaj Singh off legspinner Shreyas Gopal. He was quickly attended to, on the ground, by the physio and was stretched off. Later, BCCI said he was fine, posting a picture showing Ojha from a hospital bed.
This incident happened on the 1st ball of the 63rd over in the 2nd innings. Earlier in the day, 30-year-old Ojha took 3 wickets. He has played 24 Tests, 18 ODIs and 6 T20Is for India.

On its Twitter page, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wrote with the video of Ojha's injury, "Pragyan Ojha suffers freak head injury in @Paytm Duleep Trophy match, taken to hospital for tests."
India Blue were bowled out for 298, setting an improbable 769-run target to win the match for India Green and book a spot in the final. Today is the fourth and final day of the contest. India Red are already in the title clash.
