Ahmedabad, Nov 23: Fielder Tanmay Agarwal was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a ball during a Ranji Trophy match between Hyderabad and Chhattisgarh at Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium, here on Wednesday (November 23).

As per a report published in "The Hindu", the incident occurred minutes before lunch, when Chhattisgarh wicketkeeper Manoj Singh's pull off left-arm spinner Mehdi Hasan smashed straight into Agarwal's helmet.
While he turned around and dived for completing the catch, immediately after the ball landed on the ground did Agarwal lie on the floor.
Chhattisgarh and Hyderabad are playing Ranji Trophy Group C match.
Agarwal was immediately rushed to the hospital who felt dizziness in his head.
The on-field umpires immediately called for stretcher to carry the injured cricketer off the field.
He was then advised by the medical staff at the stadium to be taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, after conducting preliminary examinations. He was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
