Leg-spinner Karn Sharma ruled out of Zimbabwe tour

Bengaluru, July 6: India's leg-spinner Karn Sharma has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe tour due to an injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said today.

Karn, who was last week included in the 15-man Indian squad to be captained by Ajinkya Rahane, has fractured his middle finger. BCCI confirmed that there will be no replacement for Karn.

"The BCCI medical team confirms that leg-spinner Karn Sharma has been ruled out of India's tour of Zimbabwe, starting on 7 July 2015, due to injury. Karn has fractured his left middle finger. There will be no replacement for him for the Zimbabwe tour," BCCI said in a media release on Monday.

India will play 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is in Zimbabwe. The first ODI is on July 10. MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and other regulars have been rested for this trip.
