He was bowled by spinner Prem Tamang after hitting 5 sixes and 9 fours in his whirlwind innings.

The previous record of fastest fifty in the U-19 WC was held by West Indies batsman Trevon Griffith, who reached the landmark in 19 balls in the 2009-10 edition of the tournament.

Pant's small-yet memorable knock showed the glimpse of Adam Gilchrist and MS Dhoni as he hammered the hapless Nepal bowlers as long as he was at the crease.

Rahul Dravid's boys steamrolled their earlier opponents beating Ireland by 79 runs and New Zealand by a whopping 120-run margin.
