As soon as he blazed his way to a century against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Match 40 of the Indian Premier League 2015 (IPL 8), Gayle celebrated the moment in Ronaldo way.
It rained sixes from the bat of Gayle at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium last night (May 6). He blasted a 57-ball 117 as RCB won by a whopping 138-run margin.
Apart from the huge hits at the stadium, fans also loved the Ronaldo-style celebrations from the West Indian.
When asked about it, Gayle revealed, "I am a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. I was watching the Real Madrid game last night, I saw his celebrations and thought about doing it today. It feels fantastic to do it."
Gayle and his West Indian team-mates made Gangnam Style celebrations famous on a cricket field. Now many could follow Ronaldo after Gayle.
Whatever Gayle does, fans and his team-mates love it. And bowlers are having a tough time in IPL 8 trying to contain the left-handed opener.
One would be wondering what kind of celebrations will Gayle unveil next time when he is in an RCB jersey?
As of now it is all about Ronaldo's trademark pose.
